I have just received this from central - any thoughts please comment on this post.
following are a number of thoughts. We are asking your comments and any ideas that your members may have. These will be shared with other groups.
Would you please raise these thoughts and ideas at your Group Meeting or generally circulate around your members. Our 8,000+ members have to be our best publicity asset.
We have started but we need many more ideas and will support Groups in any way we can.
We had a very well attended AGM in the Stiperstones Inn followed by a windy walk following the newly created Post Lady Round. We were sorry to lose our chairman Tim who is relocating to Yorkshire but are incredibly pleased to have Jenny Winn, Chris's daughter as our new chair.
For the time being our monthly meetings will be at the Compasses, Bayston Hill as the Three Fishes is to be refurbished.
Anyone involved with the SSC, please remember the event now starts from Clun.
If you would like to experience the flavour of a "Hundred" without the strain, we are looking for volunteers to help at our check point on this year's Dorset event. We will be looking after the walkers at the 60 mile mark and for once we are in a nice warm building and not a wet windy tent. Please contact me if you want more information - it really is great fun and you can enjoy a weekend's walking around beautiful Dorset as well.
Entry details for all our challenge walks are on the main LDWA site and of course in Strider
